Duneswood is
Situated in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Duneswood offers a unique harmony between the beauty of our natural surroundings, the comforts of modern living and the nostalgic allure of a simpler time. We are located on the Sleeping Bear Heritage bike/hike trail just minutes from the Dune Climb and Lake Michigan. Guests are welcome to use the picnic tables, BBQ grills, lawn chairs and the fire circle in the back. We also have yard games for your use like Croquet and bean toss.
The Resort was remodeled in 1992, again in 2011 and in 2019/20 we made numerous upgrades due to COVID.. Tongue & groove walls and wood floors enhance the "Up North" cabin feel. All of the beds are Michigan made. We buy locally, live "green," recycling, composting, using bio-degradable soaps, and doing all we can to protect the environment.
